Rachel Klassen

Manager, Central Coast Wilds

Rachel’s love for nature started from a young age. Whether it was spending time in the school garden, the natural history museum, or a trip to the woods, young Rachel was ready for the adventure. This thirst for adventure quickly turned to a thirst for knowledge  which catapulted her over the redwood curtain to Cal Poly Humboldt where she earned her B.S. in Environmental Science and Ecological Restoration. Through the decades her love for botany has led her across the globe. From researching sustainability movements in Mongolia, to paleobotany in the canyons of Wyoming, Rachel has seen the diversity this beautiful world has to offer. Now back in California she has refocused her sights on protecting the nature that raised her. Rachel has been with CCW since 2021 and has been a part of the management team since 2022.
