“Jon Laslett (from Ecological Concerns, Inc.) and I met at the LAVWMA restoration site in San Leandro last week. The site continues to look really good with relatively high cover of native species and low cover of invasive species. The native grasses in the uplands, particularly in the eastern restoration area, are starting to seed. The wetlands look great and some of the consistently barren areas in the wetlands finally have some new pickleweed growth this year. The site has remained low due to the consistent maintenance from Ecological Concerns.”

“I was pleased to see the condition of the site and was impressed with Jon’s restoration knowledge, practical approach and suggestions. He has an excellent professional and collaborative approach. It’s not often that I am so pleasantly surprised by working with someone in the field.”
