Environmental Consulting
ECI provides a wide range of consulting services to both private and public clients.
Botanical Surveys
ECI provides skilled botanists to perform rare, threatened, and endangered species surveys across California.
Habitat Restoration Planning
Habitat restoration is a science and a process that can have serious impacts on the length and cost of projects. With ECI’s deep knowledge of both the planning and implementation of habitat restoration projects, ECI is able to provide plans that are both achievable and that lead to success. In addition, ECI’s history of project implementation allows us to develop realistic budgets for a wide variety of restoration activities.
Wetland Delineation
ECI employs trained botanists to conduct surveys for rare, threatened, and endangered species in different habitats. We collaborate closely with our clients to identify potential jurisdictional wetlands and help develop strategies to minimize and mitigate any potential impacts.
Monitoring & Reporting
Construction and restoration projects often require onsite monitoring to meet permit requirements. ECI provides clients with trained monitors who meet qualifications of permitting agencies. Whether it is during project implementation or part of long-term performance and success monitoring, ECI will assist in ensuring that a project is a success.
Permit Application & Compliance
Permitting is often a difficult and confusing process even in the best of times. For complex and large projects, acquiring permits can cause projects to be delayed for years. ECI’s permitting staff provides the expertise needed to implement a realistic strategy to obtain permits from a variety of agencies, including the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Regional Water Quality Control Board, and the California Coastal Commission. ECI’s personal connections and strong reputation allows us to obtain permits in an efficient and timely manner.
