Highway 130 Hazard Tree Assessment

Mount Hamilton, CA

Project Description

Sparking the CZU fire, severe thunderstorms caused numerous lightning ignitions throughout the region, including along critical infrastructure such as Highway 130. ECI Arborists were called to identify trees for emergency removal due to hazardous conditions, in order to allow CalTrans to reopen the roadway. Each tree was analyzed for post-fire health and failure potential, as well as proximity to the roadway, and removed by Anvil Builders if marked.
